FDA creates an incentive to help out orphan diseases and disorders
This week the FDA created an incentive for pharmaceutical companies to create drugs to treat people who suffer from diseases that are limited to less than 200,000 individuals in the US. I am impressed that with raising insurance rates and decreasing access for individuals with rare diseases and disorders that the government would feel that providing drugs for these rare folks would be a benefit for the rest of society. I say a big thank you to the man for providing my children and I an opportunity to live a productive life without the need to use other medication. I wait in anticipation for the day that rare diseases will not mean an early death or disability
